SOAR Fund

Supporting Opportunities for Adaptive Recreation
The SOAR Fund is a Neuroworx initiative created to help bridge financial barriers to participation in adaptive sports and recreation. Through small grants, the fund supports individuals and families seeking access to adaptive equipment, programs, and inclusive opportunities that enhance quality of life.
The SOAR Fund aims to empower individuals of all abilities to engage more fully in the activities they love—whether that’s learning a new sport, joining a community program, or acquiring essential equipment. This fund allows us to provide those in need with necessary grants to obtain adaptive equipment, such as sports chairs and handcycles, as well as other necessary costs to participate in various sports and recreational opportunities.
Adaptive Activity Fair
To help fundraise for the SOAR Fund and expose individuals to adaptive recreation, Neuroworx hosts an annual Adaptive Activity Fair every spring. The fair is a community-based event that strives to provide access and connection to adaptive sports/recreation resources for those in the Greater Salt Lake area. The event hosts dozens of vendors specializing in providing adaptive and accessible sports and activities including:
- Skiing
- Handcycling
- Wheelchair basketball
- Paragliding
- Scuba diving
- Video gaming
- Wheelchair tennis
- Rock climbing
- Wheelchair lacrosse
- Off-roading and hunting
- And more
